Um, how is this any different from all the people who do in depth research on the JWs just so they can critique them? Or the people who do scientific research just so they can disprove the Bible?
So only science and philosophy are the two disciplines that have any real value? So analyzing a work of literature, a movie, a play, etc. is a waste of time?

it was helpful to have them separated before while i was trying to make them all.

It was on again today, and I noticed something else as I watched it. Mewtwo could be seen as a methaphor for the JWs. He sees the world as black and white; all humans are evil, and therefore must be killed. That's sort of like how the JWs believe every non JW will be destroyed at Armageddon, and that they are the only ones doing God's will.
before i met my first jw after going off to college, i came from a town of about 3,000 people.
the town is primarily various protestant denominations, catholic, and mormon, but certainly no jws.
as a matter of fact, i hung out with people who had friends of varying religions and denominations, but i never heard anything about a jw.
We must not commit Adam and Eve's blunder of trying to decide what is good and what is evil, what is just and what is unjust. (Gen. 3:4-6, 22)

the latest watchtower, dec 15th 2003, is an out and out attack on the rank and file for dropping into a drowsy state spiritually.
ok, so armageddon didn't come before the generation of 1914 grew old and died.

But I guess 2034 would be a more tactical year. Like some of you said, the younger ones won't know about previous mishaps, and thus eat this up like candy.
i am seeing something interesting going on the board here.
if a poster, especially, a new one says something considered unpopular around here, and another poster refutes or disagrees, some people suggest that we're not being kind or welcoming to new ones or to those that have a differing view.
i don't think that this is what we're collectively trying to tell a person that doesn't share the majority viewpoint.
Minimus is right. I got into a lot of arguements when I first started posting here. I didn't feel unwelcomed. On the contrary, I was happy people were at least acknowledging my posts. On some communities, "n00bies" are automatically assumed to be stupid, and people just blow them off. Sad, no?

They could scrap the movies and just make it all animated. It seems there will be more action this way.

However, he quickly learned that the people who created cared nothing for him, so he went on a rampage, destroying the lab. He later clones pokemon and forces his clones to fight the real versions. However, Meowth and his clone refuse to fight. Meowth is the only pokemon that can speak human talk. He and his clone have a dialogue, which ends when Meowth reflects "Hey, you're right. We do have a lot in commmon. Same earth, same sky. Maybe if we started looking at what's the same instead of what's different...well, who knows?"
I'll leave it to you to interpret that. It's a kids show, but the themes are very real. One of the joys of being an English major.

I really appreciate the topic title. I think some people are so obsessed with the pride of being right, that they fail to realize they could make things better by simply doing the right thing. As the say, actions speak louder than words.
